How To Know If I Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia in men specifically refers to enlargement of male breasts. The glandular tissue builds under the nipple area of the breast.

The Gynecomastia is mainly due to hormonal imbalances in the body. Although more common in adolescent boys and older men, it can occur at any age and even in lean men, so it is not directly related to being overweight.



How to tell if I have gynecomastia

First, we must know that there is pseudogynecomastia term that literally means 'false' gynecomastia.

Certain medications prescribed for existing medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, certain cancers, hypertension, anti-ulcer medications.

Liver cirrhosis can cause hormonal fluctuations.

Kidney disorders.

The testicular cancer.

Prostate cancer.

Hyperthyroidism, an overactive thyroid gland produces too much thyroxine hormone.

Genetic disorders such as Klinefelter syndrome.

As you can see, the causes of gynecomastia can be very varied and it may even occur due to a combination of ailments. There are treatments for gynecomastia ranging from medicine, treating the cause of hormonal imbalances, surgery to remove excess breast tissue.
